Dr. Maria Claudianos
General Dentist
Dr. Maria Claudianos graduated from Adelaide University in 2003. Her enthusiasm and passion for dentistry has continued to grow throughout her career. Maria has gained a myriad of experience from working in rural, regional and city areas. After doing volunteer work at a Tibetan refugee camp in Pokhara Nepal, she was fortunate to discover the gorgeous Sapphire Coast where she established Beach Street Centre, a practice which offers exceptional high quality dentistry in the most holistic way possible. Her awareness of peoples’ individual needs allows her to easily orchestrate ideal dental treatments with care.
Maria enjoys the outdoors, art, singing, music, skiing, surfing, hiking, yoga and meditation.
Dr. James Xu
General Dentist
Dr James completed his training at the University of Melbourne, graduating BDSc (Hons) in 2013, and has been a part of the Beach Street family since 2019. He brings to our practice his years of experience with digital crown and bridge design, as well as construction of traditional dentures and implant-retained overdentures.
James is particularly passionate about jaw growth and development in children, and is pleased to provide orthodontic and orthopaedic treatment at Beach Street. He has completed additional study in orthodontics through the International Academy of Advanced Dentistry, as well as completing his Graduate Diploma in Digital Orthodontics in 2022.
James has a gentle touch and caring approach to his patients. He takes great satisfaction in educating his patients and ensuring they fully understand their oral health and any treatment options necessary.
When he is not working, James enjoys being involved in his local church, playing guitar, and running after his three young boys.
Dr. Sarah Lam
General Dentist
Dr. Sarah graduated from the University of Western Australia (Perth) in 2011. Moving to the Bega Valley shortly after, she has since made it her home, falling in love with the beautiful area and the friendly community.
Sarah enjoys doing aesthetic and practical dentistry, taking into consideration the long-term aims and health goals of her patients. She takes a special interest in the periodontal health (bone and gum) of her patients and takes great pleasure in getting her patients to achieve the best, healthiest smiles they can have.
Sarah also strongly believes that oral health starts from a young age, and aims to make her kid patients feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
Her other passions lie in raising her young family, enjoying the beaches and connecting with other young families in the community.
Dr. Nerita Sidhu
General Dentist
Dr. Nerita Sidhu graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1997. She first visited Merimbula early 2022 to cover Dr. Sarah’s maternity leave when she fell in love with the area.
Nerita is skilled in all facets of dentistry and enjoys doing dentistry of the highest quality. She treats everyone with a longterm perspective of attaining and maintaining good oral health.
She does not have a proper profile picture on our website as she also works for Defense... but we vouch that she’s a warm and friendly part of the team!

Alan Oxley
Massage Therapist
Alan Oxley is a remedial and sports massage therapist who has been practising for over 30 years. During his career, he has acquired a wealth of experience and knowledge, having diplomas in Therapeutic and Remedial massage as well as having a 2nd degree in Reiki. Alan treated many clientele in Sydney Guildford where he worked as a masseur along with an acupuncturist and a chiropractor.
He has moved to the beautiful Sapphire Coast to be with family and hopes to help many in this region in need of massage treatment in order to ease pain, relax the mind and body and promote the body’s own healing process. Alan applies his acquired skills and vast experience to help his clients achieve a better quality of life from an all round holistic massage treatment.
Alan is registered for health fund rebates by all health funds. HiCaps is on site at the clinic for immediate claim.
