Meet Our Team
Dr. Maria Claudianos
BDS (Adelaide)
Dr. Maria Claudianos graduated from Adelaide University in 2003. Her enthusiasm and passion for dentistry has continued to grow throughout her career. Maria has gained a myriad of experience from working in rural, regional and city areas. After doing volunteer work at a Tibetan refugee camp in Pokhara Nepal, she was fortunate to discover the gorgeous Sapphire Coast where she established Beach Street Centre, a practice which offers exceptional high quality dentistry in the most holistic way possible. Her awareness of peoples’ individual needs allows her to easily orchestrate ideal dental treatments with care.
Maria enjoys the outdoors, art, singing, music, skiing, surfing, hiking, yoga and meditation.
Dr. Sarah Lam
BDSc (UWA)
Dr Sarah graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2011 and moved to the Bega Valley shortly after. Since then, she has made the region her home, drawn to its beautiful coastline, welcoming community, and relaxed family lifestyle.
Sarah enjoys aesthetic and surgical dentistry, and takes a thoughtful, patient-centred approach to care. She takes the time to understand each patient’s long-term goals, and believes clear communication, education, and informed consent are essential to good dental treatment.
Sarah is currently undertaking advanced training through her Fellowship in Modern Implantology. She offers comprehensive dental implant treatment, from planning through to surgical placement and final restoration. Using technology such as 3D CBCT imaging and digital treatment planning, Sarah carefully tailors implant treatment to each patient, with the aim of achieving accurate, safe, and long-lasting results.
Outside of dentistry, Sarah enjoys raising her young family, spending time at the beach, and connecting with other families in the local community.
Dr. Kenny Guo
BDS (Adelaide)
Originally born in New Zealand, Dr Kenny graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He believes that great dental care starts with open, honest communication, and takes the time to ensure every patient feels heard and understood.
Known for his calm and approachable manner, Dr Kenny aims to make each visit a positive experience. Patients leave their appointments feeling informed and empowered about their oral health and the next steps in their care.
When he is not working, Kenny enjoys spending time outdoors and making the most of the stunning natural beauty the Sapphire Coast has to offer.
Dr. James Xu
BDSc (Hons) (Melb), MSc, GradDipDigOrth
Dr James graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) in 2013 and joined the Beach Street Dental Centre team in 2019. He has extensive experience in general dentistry, with particular expertise in digital crown and bridge design, traditional dentures, and implant-retained overdentures.
James has a special interest in jaw growth and development in children, and is passionate about helping young patients develop healthy, functional smiles. He provides orthodontic treatment at the practice and has completed advanced postgraduate training through the International Academy of Advanced Dentistry and the Digital Orthodontic College, earning his Graduate Diploma in Digital Orthodontics in 2022.
Known for his gentle manner and caring approach, James takes the time to explain treatment clearly and help patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their dental care.
Outside of dentistry, James enjoys playing guitar, being involved in his local church community, and keeping up with his three energetic young boys.
Alan Oxley
Massage Therapist
Alan Oxley is a remedial and sports massage therapist who has been practising for over 30 years. During his career, he has acquired a wealth of experience and knowledge, having diplomas in Therapeutic and Remedial massage as well as having a 2nd degree in Reiki. Alan treated many clientele in Sydney Guildford where he worked as a masseur along with an acupuncturist and a chiropractor.
He has moved to the beautiful Sapphire Coast to be with family and hopes to help many in this region in need of massage treatment in order to ease pain, relax the mind and body and promote the body’s own healing process. Alan applies his acquired skills and vast experience to help his clients achieve a better quality of life from an all round holistic massage treatment.
Alan is registered for health fund rebates by all health funds. HiCaps is on site at the clinic for immediate claim.
